CEU Course Description
'Developing STEM Education for Disadvantaged Students' is designed for educators committed to fostering inclusive and equitable STEM learning environments. This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the unique challenges faced by disadvantaged students and provides actionable strategies to enhance their educational experiences. Participants will delve into the socio-economic factors impacting STEM education, learn best practices for teaching STEM to diverse student populations, and discover effective methods for developing supportive and engaging STEM programs. By equipping educators with the tools to address systemic barriers and leverage community resources, this course aims to promote innovation, diversity, and social equity in STEM fields. In this course, participants will learn about 1) the unique challenges and barriers disadvantaged students face in STEM education, 2) best practices for teaching and engaging these students, and 3) effective strategies and resources for developing and sustaining impactful STEM programs.
